Volla Phone X23

Discussion about Volla Phone X23: https://devices.droidian.org/#/devices/vidofnir

Current status: supported by Droidian 101

Hello,

it is great to see that there’s support for the X23 now. Thanks" a lot!

I’m wondering if there are plans to make it available via the Volla Boot Manager also.
As I need my phone in on call shifts I do not dare to wipe it and flash it with Droidian yet. With Multiboot I could install, test and configure Droidian without risk.

Would be great to hear about this…

Best regards,

Lucas

Hello,

I have a problem with my Volla X 23: Droidian only starts when the charger (or induction) is connected. Without charging, it goes to the Volla logo and then reboots before the Droidian logo appears. This keeps repeating until I connect the charger. Is there a way to fix this? I tried reinstalling the operating system, but the problem persists. The 102 behaves the same way. I tried fixing it myself using cDPT’s tips, but it was a waste of time for several days. I don’t have the necessary qualifications. It’s a shame, because the system is excellent. It’s the best I’ve tested.

That’s weird as I cannot reproduce this issue myself at all.

Perhaps it’s important that my device is a Volla X23E with 4/64GB, not the X23 with 6/128GB. Another issue I forgot to mention is the volume control buttons. Pressing the + key increases the volume, but pressing the - key doesn’t decrease it. The same issue happened on this phone when testing Sailfish OS. Volla OS and UT work without any issues.

I guess this is likely to be an issue exclusive to X23E. By the same issue on SFOS, do you mean the volume buttons or the charger boot issue (or both)?

I meant the volume control buttons. It’s strange, it seemed to me that the X23 and X23E were built on the same MT6789 processor and differed only in memory capacity.

After the latest update 102, the bootloop issue described above on my Volla X23 disappeared. The volume buttons seem to be fine too. Thank you.
